A dinosaur that once lived in North America has been named in honour of the god Loki. It was described by parts of skull bones excavated in Montana five years ago.
The creature was given the scientific name Lokiceratops rangiformis. It lived on Earth some 78 million years before our time. The creature’s head was adorned with huge horns resembling the headdress of the mythical Loki.

The ideal option would be music that soothes a particular person. It can be nature sounds (rain, the sound of the sea, etc.), trance compositions, especially female trance vocals, space, classical music. Lullabies for children also help well, the specialist added.

Experts have trained artificial intelligence by applying a set of different images, both printed on a printer and drawn by hand. According to the researchers, the model manages to recognise drawings better than a human.
According to the author, drawing is the most powerful language of visual communication. Sometimes it has more flexibility and expressiveness than spoken language. Drawings are used to explore new ideas and communication, but AI had a hard time analysing and perceiving them.

Children, elderly people and those with GI diseases should eat three to four times a day, with 3-5 hours between meals.
As noted by a specialist, during this time the stomach has time to digest what has been eaten, free up and prepare for the next meal. If you increase the interval, it can adversely affect the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.

According to the specialist, you can put a damp towel on your neck, forehead or shoulders. Refrigerated containers can also help. More water should be consumed, especially pre-frozen water.
The expert also noted that you should not indulge in heavy food and alcohol, as they increase the feeling of heat due to the heat generated during digestion. As the biologist added, you should do with light snacks and fresh fruit.

Lopburi is a tourist town, and one of its main attractions remains macaques. People often feed the primates, and this, alas, has corrupted the animals, making them stubborn and aggressive. Sometimes they even attack humans, bite, steal food and damage property.
A number of monkeys escaped from supervision last week and the authorities have had to organise a mass round-up of the escapees. About three dozen monkeys escaped from the enclosures near the detention centre and are now being rounded up. There were even reports of macaques attacking the police station, so the officers had to lock themselves inside and close all the windows.

Pets, including cats, like humans, occasionally become ill. Various approaches have been developed to assess the condition and determine their treatment. Recently, a new method has been introduced that allows for a more detailed examination of the cat’s condition.
Scientists from Canada have created a system for assessing cat facial expressions in order to understand how comfortable a furry pet feels and, in the case of an ailment, how serious it is.

Since they were first mentioned by naturalists in the Victorian era, there has been debate about the existence of jumping leeches, with some claiming to have seen them “acrobatically” and others believing that these worms were probably just falling from above.
More than 100 years later, this debate has been resolved thanks to a video recording made by researchers May Fahmy and Michael Tessler.

This hotel provides top class holidays for four-legged friends. Because of this, it is very popular. However, now everything may change, because the management decided to introduce a ban on the use of the pool for guests.
As the management explained, dogs behave better than humans, so it was easier to refuse the latter to visit the pool.
The opening of the dog hotel in Castellón de la Plana took place 7 years ago. The guests dreamed of holidaying with their pets and the idea of creating a dog-friendly hotel was born. Nowadays, the hotel has everything you need for a dog-friendly holiday. The highlight of the programme is the 700 square metre swimming pool with a capacity of 360,000 litres, which is the only one of its kind in the region and one of the largest in Europe.
