A dinosaur that once lived in North America has been named in honour of the god Loki. It was described by parts of skull bones excavated in Montana five years ago.
The creature was given the scientific name Lokiceratops rangiformis. It lived on Earth some 78 million years before our time. The creature’s head was adorned with huge horns resembling the headdress of the mythical Loki.
